Drive 22 mins east along the A686, at Alston follow the B6277 4 miles to Garrigill.In 2001 this route was nominated one of the top ten most scenic drives in the world.From Carlisle
45 mins south east of Carlisle, towards Brampton (Jct 44 M6 on A689), at Brampton turn right towards Alston (A689), then follow to Garrigill (B6277).From the South
60 mins north of Scotch Corner, follow to Barnard Castle (A66), at Barnard Castle turn off towards Middleton-in-Teesdale (B6277), drive through the beautiful Tees Valley towards Alston. Before Alston turn off at Garrigill.From the East
50 mins south west of Hexham, follow towards Carlisle (A69), turn left just before Haydon Bridge towards Alston (A686 past Langley Castle). At Alston follow to Garrigill (B6277).The nearest pub is the George & Dragon on the other side of the village green.
If you wish to eat an evening meal at the pub, please book in advance (01434 381 293). It can be very busy!
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the pub.
No smoking is allowed on our premises.
Secure cycle parking is available free of charge.
All the rooms have televisions and DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, alarm clock, wardrobe and dressing table. A library of DVDs is available for guests.
Pets: Well behaved dogs are allowed. We do request that dogs are not left alone in the rooms though.
